Japanese Machinery Orders Unexpectedly Fall, While The Current Account Surplus Narrowed

Japanese economy released today its reading for May's machinery orders and current account index, where the machinery orders fell more than economist estimated in May adding signs that rebounded business investment will not heavily support the nation's recovery.

April exports post biggest rise in 4 years

SINGAPORE'S exports boom showed no signs of slowing last month, with shipments jumping by the largest amount in more than four years. Barclays cuts inflation forecast to 3%

BARCLAYS Capital has trimmed its inflation forecast for Singapore for this year to 3 per cent, down from its previous prediction of 4 per cent.
The property market is stabilising and there are no signs of overheating in the economy, said Barclays in its quarterly macro-economic report.
