Singapore food prices on the rise
(SINGAPORE) Food prices have risen consistently over the past few months. And given erratic climatic conditions, they could become even more of a concern going forward.

Oct consumer price index drops 0.8%
SINGAPORE’S consumer price index (CPI) fell 0.8 per cent in October from a year earlier, due to lower housing and holiday travel costs. The fall was slightly bigger than consensus expectations of a 0.4 per cent dip in October’s prices from last year’s relatively high base.

Inflation forecast to be higher in 2010
(SINGAPORE) Inflation is now expected to be higher in 2010, as a result of increased Housing and Development Board property values.
The government has revised its consumer price index (CPI) inflation forecast to between 2.5 and 3.5 per cent, from a one to 2 per cent range previously.

Prices rise 0.4%, up for second straight month
CONSUMER prices inched up last month for the second time in a row, signalling that the economy’s brief flirtation with deflation may soon be over.

SINGAPORE’S consumer price index (CPI) rose 1.1 per cent in July from June but fell 0.5 per cent year on year, the Department of Statistics (DOS) said yesterday.

Inflation down in June for 3rd straight month
INFLATION in Singapore fell last month for the third time in a row, as oil and car prices remained cheaper than they were a year ago.
The consumer price index, the main measure of inflation, dropped 0.5 per cent last month over the same month last year, said the Department of Statistics (DOS) yesterday.
