A PROPOSAL to ban property agents from representing both the seller and buyer in the same transaction has generated strong public interest – with many giving the idea the thumbs up.

China buyers prefer properties under $1m

HOME buyers from China prefer properties under $1 million and tend to favour apartments near MRT stations as they generally do not own cars here.
Many are permanent residents and work here, possibly in areas such as Jurong, Bedok and Kallang.

Move to ban one agent for buyer and seller under study

THE Government is contemplating a move to ban property agents from engaging in the widespread practice of representing both the seller and buyer of an HDB flat in the same transaction.
The idea is set to get the thumbs up from home buyers and sellers, but could leave some agents unhappy at a potential loss of commission income.
