Maybank Islamic deposit launched
MAYBANK Singapore is launching its first retail Islamic term deposit – paying a return four times more than conventional fixed deposits.
For a limited period, the Term Deposit-i will pay 0.6 per cent, one per cent and 1.4 per cent for tenures of three, six and 12 months respectively.
The minimum placement is $10,000 for 12-month tenure or $25,000 for three and six-month tenures.

Singapore investors in cheerier mood: ING survey
THE mood among investors in Singapore turned cheerier in the second quarter of the year, a survey by ING Group shows.
Sentiment was ‘optimistic’ for the first time in 12 months, according to the ING investor dashboard sentiment index.
The Singapore index more than doubled to 120 points, from 58 in the first quarter – the second-highest increase in Asia after Hong Kong.
